Wild Foods of the Tillamook State Forest

April 25 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
$40

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL. Other forest workshops around Portland include May 10th and September 26th. In Eugene there is a forest workshop on May 23.

Tillamook State Forest, Oregon.

$40
Learn about the edible plants found in deep pacific northwest forests. Spring is when wildflowers are blooming and wild greens are ripe for picking. See plants like wild violet, Solomon’s seal, fairly bells, licorice fern, various fiddleheads, wild ginger and many more. Learn the many ways they can be used as food. Explore one of the more beautiful forests in Portland’s own backyard. Due to the Forest Centers higher elevation, many of the spring plants that are done at sea level will still be young.

This workshop is run by the Tillamook State Forest and not by Wild Food Adventures.
Sign up with them by calling: 503-815-6807 by April 22. They will accept late registrants if they get enough participants to run the class by April 22. The TFC can only take payments Wednesday thru Sunday, as they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Go HERE to see their web site page for this event.
