Join a collection of Earth skills (also known as stone-age skills) experts and students in a week long hands-on teach-in. Some of the skills taught typically include: fire making, cordage, stone, bone & wood tools, buckskin, tracking, trapping, local flora and fauna, wild edibles, shelter building, basket weaving, nature awareness, pottery, local Native culture, musical instruments, stone-age weaponry, fiber/textile arts, herbal medicine, storytelling, flintknapping, earthen ovens, and felting. Typically there one or two teachers with some wild food and medicinal plant knowledge. Dr. Kallas teaches at this event about once every 10 years. He is NOT teaching there this year.
